 This is Step 1

1. Show Players the boundaries that the game will be played in. There is an outer square where the four teams will line up on and an inner square where the “Castle” is. Inside the castle are two players “servants” trying to escape. The players can only escape if a “King or a Queen” another player tags them – then they are rescued.  There are two players “Guards” to keep the players in the castle.
   2. Divide the Players into four teams placing each team on each of the four sides of the outer square. 
   3. Explain that the two players in the castle are two humble servants that became lost and were taken captive by two mean guards. All the other players are Kings and Queens sent to rescue the servants.
   4. Once the Players have been divided into teams assign each Player a number. Each team should have a one, a two, a three, and so on.
   5. Explain that when the Game Zone Leader shouts “Number ones (or ones and threes) Storm the Castle” the Players (the Kings and Queens) with that number can run and try to tag and rescue a servant. If tagged by a guard you are out till next round.
   6. The team, one of the four lines, that rescues the most servants, is the winning team.

Praise: A beautiful child named Diantha, was pampered and cared for greatly by her family. She was bright and playful and sang songs all the time. However, over time, she became quiet. She began to look sad. She stopped singing. When her mother noticed the change in her daughter’s behaviour, she went to her school to find out what had gone wrong. She spoke to all her teachers and found that one teacher in particular shouted at Diantha everyday. She never praised the child for all the effort she put into her studies. Instead, she only complained about what Diantha was doing wrong. Diantha began to dislike her teacher and did not want to go to school!

When Diantha’s school was changed, she was surrounded by loving teachers in her new school who encouraged her by praising the effort she put into her studies. She soon became cheerful and did brilliantly in class. She even started to sing again!  Such is the power of praise. Praise God!  From this little story, we learn that it is very important to praise anyone who puts in their best.  Praise builds confidence. It makes a person feel better, and therefore do better.

Praising God: God never stops being good to us.  He showers us with miracles throughout our lives.  Should we not praise Him for everything?

Hallelujah! Hallelujah! This means, Praise God!  Praise is an expression of faith. It is a joyful thanks and adoration to God, and the celebration of God’s goodness and grace in our lives.  

Why we need to praise God? The reasons are countless. Most importantly the Book of Psalms in the bible means “Book of Praises.” Every psalm is devoted to praise and thanksgiving. This book clearly provides hope and confidence in God as the Almighty, the Creator of everything, the ultimate Ruler of everything. He knows everything, He has no limits, His presence is everywhere.  

Why do we sing God’s praise? Music is beautiful. It has harmony. It expresses deep emotion. In the Bible, music and song were used many times: At coronations (1 Kings 1:39-40), events in the royal court (2 Sam. 19:35), feasts (Isa. 5:12). Music can be supernatural too! Remember how the walls of Jericho fell down (Jos. 6:1–20) by trumpet sounds; and David played his harp and sang to soothe Saul’s troubled mind (1 Sam 16:14-23).

Praise and Worship: Even today, praise, worship and music play a big role in Christianity. Praising the Lord in music allows us to enter the sacredness of God’s Glory. We should learn to praise our God all the time because of who He is, what He has done for us, and what He will continue doing for us. In heaven we will continually worship and praise God for eternity. “Praise the Lord.”
