“Train up a child in the way he should go; even when he is old he will not depart from it.”  Proverbs 22:6

The Bible instructs us clearly: the most critical stage of training takes place during childhood.  If we are faithful at training children then as children grow into adulthood they will continue to live lives yielded to Jesus.  We should have high expectations trusting and believing that God can and will transform the children under our care into champions for eternity. 

“Now to him who is able to do far more abundantly than all that we ask or think, according to the power at work within us, to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, forever and ever. Amen.”  Ephesians 3:20-21

Jesus has high expectations for each of our lives – the lives of the children we serve – my life – and your life.  Jesus wants us to ask him to do great works through our yielded lives.  It is his power that will work through you – you need to know this – and you need to equip your children to always remember that “for he who is in you is greater than he who is in the world”  1 John 4:4b  Jesus desires his children to go and make disciples – become champions for eternity. 

“That according to the riches of his glory he may grant you to be strengthened with power through his Spirit in your inner being, so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith—that you, being rooted and grounded in love, may have strength to comprehend with all the saints what is the breadth and length and height and depth, and to know the love of Christ that surpasses knowledge, that you may be filled with all the fullness of God.”  Ephesians 3:16-19

You are called to bear fruit, abundant fruit, and fruit that will last.  If you simply yield and abide in Christ, Jesus will bear abundant fruit throughout your life and in and through those you teach and train to become champions for eternity!  John 15:5, 2 Timothy 2:2
