Memorize the Story: “Long Stairway”
-
Once there was a long a winding stairway and a young traveler looked at all the steps and becoming discouraged began to walk away. A wise mature traveler seeing this asked “Why are you so discouraged there is a beautiful at the end of the stairway.” “No, I can not see beyond the first high step and with all the turns I can not see the final destination.”
-
Older wise traveler shared “That is the joy of the journey you know each step you are closer to the destination and every day brings something new that you were not expecting. Each day your must take the “1st Next Step” in front of you. It will require faith and obedience. But it is only as you take that “1st Next Step” that you are at a new level and at a new height to be able to see the next step.”
-
The young traveler with renewed enthusiasm turned again toward the stairway and began to take the “1st Next Step.”
