1 GAME: Shipwreck

Game / Bible / Life Connection:  You were Warned in the GameGod Warned the People in the Bible through Noah / God Warns You in your Life through the Bible

1. Announce that we are going to play a game we call “Shipwreck” and that this game takes place on an imaginary ship.  As sailors, they will be expected to do a lot of running      around following the “Captain’s” orders.
2. Point out the designated four areas of the imaginary ship to the Players.
• The FRONT of the ship is called the “BOW”
• The BACK of the ship is the “AFT”
• The LEFT side of the ship is the “PORT”
• The RIGHT side of the ship is the “STARBOARD”
3. Explain: For example, if they hear the “Captain” call out “Aft,” they all need to run to the “Aft.”  And if they hear the “Captain” call out “Righteousness,” they must run and            hug the “Captain.”
4. The “Captain” of the ship is the Game Zone Leader.
5. For any area if they are the last 2 players to arrive they are out and must go sit down outside the ship.

2 BIBLE DISCOVERIES: Gospel & Truth - Psalm 1

Game / Bible / Life Connection:  You were Warned in the GameGod Warned the People in the Bible through Noah / God Warns You in your Life through the Bible

Movie Day:  Exams are over and the summer holidays have begun! No school for one month! Hurray!  On Saturday, Amma and Pappa decide to take the children for a movie. Excitement fills the air.  At security, Amma’s bag is checked and Pappa’s whole body is scanned.  “Check my pockets” says young Tanay.  The security guard pats his head
and smiles. Pretty Pinku tugs at the security aunty’s dupatta and says, “I don’t have a gun or a bomb, see.”  She giggles and runs along to her mother’s side.

Noah and the Ark: The film they are about to watch is called Noah. “It has many animals in it” says Amma. “When the world became wicked, God decided to send a flood!  He told Noah to build a big boat called an Ark, and asked him to fill the boat with his family and a pair of each animal too! Then the BIG flood came and washed away all the sinners, and the world began again!”

God told Noah, “The end of all flesh has come… for the earth is filled with violence through them; and behold, I will destroy them with the earth” (Gen. 6:13).

The movie begins. As the children and parents watch, Amma whispers the story in brief.  “See how bad everyone has become. Look at Noah.  He is still following God’s instruction. Praise God!” There are no guns or bombs in the movie, the children observe.  How was it so bad? Pappa explains, “People were selfish, corrupt, and did not care about God at all.  Therefore God decided to destroy everything that was on the face the earth for their wickedness and sin.”

During the interval Pappa goes to bring popcorn and Amma and the children sit chatting about the movie.  Then Pinku thoughtfully asks her mother, “Amma, cousin Payal is selfish. She won’t let me borrow her pink dress. And in school the teacher says that we must be careful because there are many wicked people in the world. Is it true, Amma? Will God destroy the world again?” Amma tells the children to be quiet.  Tanay tells his mother, “Amma, I will become a soldier and fight all the wicked people!” Amma
laughs as Pappa returns with the popcorn.

In the second part of the film the animals walk into the Ark in pairs! Tigers, lions, and even monkeys!  And then, the BIG flood comes!

After 150 days when the land was dry, the Ark settled on Mount Ararat. Noah and his family came out and thanked God by offering a sacrifice.  In response, God made a new promise not to destroy life again with a flood. A rainbow appears in the sky as a sign of His new covenant.

The movie comes to an end. As the family walks out of the theatre, the sleepy children hold their parents’ hands. Amma and Pappa talk to each other. “Our world is so scary sometimes” says Amma. Pappa says, “We must protect our children and help them understand that they must be obedient to God and His word. We must set a good example for them.”

3 LIFE CONNECTIONS

Game / Bible / Life Connection: You were Warned in the GameGod Warned the People in the Bible through Noah / God Warns You in your Life through the Bible

Memory Verse:  “For the LORD watches over the way of the righteous, but the way of the wicked leads to destruction.”  Psalm 1:16

Leader, ask God to connect to the children’s minds, the children’s hearts, and in the prayer to connect to the children’s soul.

1. Game
Someone describe the game played today?
What was the only safe place to run? (when the Captain called out Righteousness)

2. Bible

How many people listened to God’s warnings through Noah?

3. Life
Repeat after me: “God thank you for giving us warnings, Jesus thank you for giving us
ways to live right lives, righteous, god how do you want me to live right? *pause*. Jesus please give me courage to obey and share this truth.”

4. Worship Song
Ask the children what is their favorite worship song and then sing several worship songs with hand-motions
(click here for worship songs “GameLife Strong & Powerful Worship Motions”)

5. Reinforcement
Use local resources and common objects.
