Destination, Heaven /  Revelation 22

One Main Truth: Prepare, Jesus is coming soon to take believers to heaven.

“Are you ready for the Joy of Discovery? Unlock the One Main Truth: It’s an adventure in the Game, a revelation in the Bible, and it will transform your Life. Let’s take one step closer to becoming a Champion for Eternity!”

In the Game: “Players must Prepare”
In the Bible: “Believers are called to Prepare because Jesus is Coming Soon”
In Your Life: “You are urged to Prepare because Jesus is Coming Soon”

Supplies: Ball Needed

  1. Mark off a square into 4 smaller squares.
  2. Tell the students that each square has a number 1, 2, 3, and 4.
  3. Have players line up behind square #four.
  4. The first four players in the line stand in each of the 4 smaller squares, one player in each square.
  5. The player in square #1 always starts the rally by tossing the ball into one of the other three squares. When the ball comes into their square, they must hit it back after it bounces. The ball must bounce before being hit; they cannot catch it or hold it. They can only hit it.
  6. The ball will go from player to player until a mistake is made, the ball goes out, or lands in a square. The player that makes the mistake goes to the end of the line, and the next person in line moves into square #four, while the other players move up a square.
  7. The goal is to get to space #1 and stay there as long as possible.

2 BIBLE DISCOVERIES: Gospel & Truth - Revelation 22

Yes, Jesus is coming back! We have studied God’s truth of God’s love, His sacrifice through His son, and the promise of a future beyond imagination. Today, our journey leads us to a destination that is rock solid based on truth, security, comfort, and unparalleled joy – Heaven.

When is Jesus coming back? The answer is not known by any man, known only to the Father. It is in the Father’s authority alone to reveal such secrets. All we know is that His return is coming soon, and we must be vigilant and ever-prepared for the day He comes again.  Boys and girls we have a hope and we will live in heaven for eternity – for those that have received God’s gift of salvation.

THE CONSEQUENCE Revelation 22:12
Why is Jesus coming back? The Bible echoes the answer in Revelation 22:12 – Jesus returns to reward His faithful and to reign over a world in harmony then, a time of eternal splendor opens its gates to the faithful. He calls His blessed children to inherit the kingdom prepared since the world’s foundation. Those who embraced His salvation shall find a heavenly home.

LIFE LESSON  (John 3:16)
Close your eyes and envisage Heaven. Apostle John’s words in Revelation 21 paint a breathtaking image. A city of transparent gold, walls adorned with jasper, streets paved with pure gold as clear as glass. Twelve gates, each a magnificent pearl, welcome souls with open arms. Within, hatred, sorrow, pain, hunger, and thirst are but memories. Age and death have no control, only unending joy and peace. Jesus calls us to this place of ultimate peace and delight.
Every day we are one step closer to Jesus returning, remember the foundation of this journey – God’s amazing grace love. Through His only begotten Son, we receive the promise of everlasting life. An open invitation, available to all, but received only by those who accept Jesus as their Savior. The promise of His return and the beauty of Heaven shine like the stars, guiding us home to our Father’s arms. As it is written, “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life” (John 3:16). This gift, a legacy of love, awaits all who choose to embrace it.

What is Heaven Like?
The River of Life: In Revelation 22:1, a pure river of water of life, clear as crystal, flows from the throne of God and the Lamb. This river symbolizes the eternal source of life and the presence of God Himself.
The Tree of Life: Verse 2 mentions the tree of life, bearing twelve fruits and yielding its fruit every month. This tree is reminiscent of the tree of life in the Garden of Eden. Access to it signifies eternal life and healing for the nations.
The Throne of God: The throne of God and the Lamb is established in the city (verse 3). This represents the divine presence and sovereignty ruling over the new creation. No More Curse: Revelation 22:3 states that there will be no more curse. This signifies the complete removal of the effects of sin and the restoration of a perfect creation.
Seeing God’s Face: Verse 4 promises that God’s servants will see His face, signifying intimate communion and direct access to God.
His Name on Their Foreheads: Believers will have the name of God on their foreheads, indicating their identification with God and their belonging to Him.
No More Night: Verse 5 assures that there will be no need for light sources because the Lord God will be their light. There will be no night, signifying continuous divine illumination.
Final Warnings and Promises: The chapter concludes with warnings about altering the book’s prophecies and with Jesus’ promise to return soon (verses 6-7). Believers are encouraged to hold fast to their faith.
Revelation 22 offers a vision of the new heaven and the new earth, where God’s presence is central, sin and its consequences are gone, and believers enjoy eternal life and perfect communion with their Creator. It serves as a fitting conclusion to the Bible, reinforcing the themes of redemption, restoration, and hope that runs throughout the Scriptures.

You Can Live with God in Heaven “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life” (John 3:16). This offer is available freely to all, yet those who respond and accept Jesus as their savior will receive it.
